PolanFit Gym Ojo Review 2026: The Biggest Gym Near LASU

Ojo has been an underserved part of Lagos when it comes to quality gyms. The densely populated area has a large student population from LASU and a growing residential base, but the kind of well-equipped gym you’d find in Lekki or Wuse 2 wasn’t there. PolanFit Gym opened on 20th June 2026 and is making a serious case for changing that. We looked at what the gym is offering from day one, and here’s our honest take.

First Impressions of PolanFit Gym

For a gym that opened in 2026, one thing is certain: everything is fresh. At PolanFit, there are no worn-out benches, dumbbells with chipped handles, or treadmill belts that slip under pressure. All equipment is new, and that makes a big difference to the training quality, even if it’s something that gets harder to maintain over time.

Inside the gym, the aesthetic is black throughout. We consider it a deliberate, consistent look that leans into the serious training environment. It’s a contrast to the bright, social gym direction. Paired with well-placed lighting, the space photographs well and trains well.

One thing we observed with PolanFit is that mirrors are almost everywhere on the floor. That’s useful for form checking, and if you love filming your sessions. Air conditioning runs throughout the facility, which is non-negotiable for a gym in Lagos that wants members coming back consistently.

The Two-Floor Setup

PolanFit Gym has a two-floor layout that keeps different types of training separated. Let’s discuss:

Ground Floor — Weights and Machines

The main training floor is where the weights and resistance machines live. For a new gym, the equipment is sufficient. Given that everything is new, you won’t be dealing with machines that need recalibration or benches that have lost their padding density.

Upper Floor — Cardio Room

The upper floor is more like a dedicated room. So, this is where you find the treadmills, bikes, stair climbers, and vibration machines. They’re all housed up here, away from the main weights floor.

The Golf Course

Here’s one aspect that caught our attention: PolanFit Gym has a small golf setup on-site. It’s a compact, boxed course designed for short putts into the hole rather than full-range driving. As such, don’t expect a golf simulation suite.

Nevertheless, the setup is something genuinely different from what any other gym in the Ojo area offers. A gym near LASU that has a putting area is a conversation starter, and conversation starters bring in members.

Facilities Beyond the PolanFit Gym Floor

At PolanFit, secure lockers are available for all your valuables. This is a basic but important feature that not every Nigerian gym bothers with. However, we didn’t expect less since this facility appears premium even before its launch.

Visible first aid kits are present on the main floor, showing that PolanFit is serious about member well-being. The restrooms are also properly finished with a clean white touch throughout. These details matter, particularly for a facility trying to attract LASU students and Ojo residents who may be comparing it to gyms they’ve visited in other parts of Lagos.

PolanFit Gym Ojo Pricing

Here is a full breakdown of PolanFit’s membership cost and training options:

Day Pass₦5,000
Monthly Membership₦40,280
Quarterly Membership₦118,790
Annual Membership₦385,534
Joining Fee₦15,440 (one-time, paid on signup)
Special Training₦20,300 – ₦119,900 (varies by package)

A note on the annual plan: At ₦385,534 per year, PolanFit’s annual rate works out to approximately ₦32,128 per month. That’s a meaningful saving versus the ₦40,280 monthly rate. If you plan to commit for a full year, the annual plan is the better value by a clear margin.

The joining fee: The one-time ₦15,440 joining fee is standard practice for Nigerian gyms of this quality level. Factor it into your first month’s total, and you’re looking at approximately ₦55,720 all-in for your first month, then ₦40,280 per month thereafter.

The special training packages range from ₦20,300 to ₦119,900 and cover personal training and structured coaching programmes. This wide range suggests tiered options from basic PT sessions to comprehensive multi-month programmes. Confirm the specific breakdown directly with PolanFit Gym staff.

Who PolanFit Gym Is For

The gym is positioned squarely at the Ojo and LASU community. For LASU students, Igbo-Ojo residents, and anyone on the Ojo-Alaba-Mile 2 axis who has been making do with whatever local gym was nearest, PolanFit is a significant upgrade. A two-floor facility with new equipment, AC throughout, and a proper aesthetic doesn’t just raise the bar for Ojo. It sets a new one.

If you live a bit far, PolanFit’s price point is still competitive compared to other facilities in Lagos. Plus, the newness of the facility is a genuine short-term advantage. The longer-term question is whether the gym can maintain the quality and develop its community. That, we believe, will define what PolanFit becomes in three to five years’ time.

GymSquare’s Verdict

PolanFit Gym is the most complete gym Ojo has seen. Indeed, a brand-new facility is always easier to recommend than a tired one. Besides that, the quality of the opening setup suggests this is a gym that was thought through, not rushed.

Our recommendation: if you’re in the Ojo area and you’ve been waiting for a serious gym option, your wait is over. Visit, take the tour, and get in while the equipment is still fresh.
