Best Gyms in Ibadan 2026 (With Monthly Prices)

There are at least 50 gyms in Ibadan, which is quickly becoming one of Nigeria’s major fitness markets. We’ve ranked the best gyms in Ibadan for this year and included their monthly fees, so you know what to expect before you visit. Here’s our full list:

1. iFitness Ibadan  —  The Palms Mall, MKO Abiola Way, New GRA

~₦32,000/month (joining fee and annual dues apply separately)

We’d expect iFitness to be one of the first names that comes up when discussing gyms in Ibadan. It’s the biggest in Nigeria with multiple locations in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.

In Ibadan, the big change is its move to a new space inside The Palms Mall. If you visited before and weren’t impressed, that was the old location.

The new iFitness gym feels like a fresh start. We noticed that many of the older complaints online focus on the previous setup, particularly customer service and front-desk attitudes. The iFitness brand still brings 40+ classes, decent equipment, and access to other branches.

2. 24 Hour Fitness  —  Oni and Sons Junction, Opp Palms Mall, ShopRite, Ringroad

~₦25,000/month (new member fees apply)

The name alone sets high expectations, and we noted that it mostly delivers. You can train here from 7 AM to 10 PM every day, which covers most of the day even if it isn’t a 24-hour gym.

24 Hour Fitness was revamped in 2025, so the equipment is fresh, with both AC and fans keeping the space cool. We also found the gym well maintained and the trainers well regarded. Alongside regular gym access, you can also take yoga and aerobics classes or get physiotherapy.

3. Oxygen Fitness  —  Branches in Akobo and Bodija

~₦27,000/month

Oxygen stands out with its white-tiled interior, while most Nigerian gyms lean towards a darker look. We think it works, making the space feel cleaner and more open.

The equipment is good and there’s enough room to train both indoors and outdoors. However, the Akobo branch can get crowded, though. If that’s an issue for you, we’d suggest going during off-peak hours or trying the Bodija branch instead.

4. Bollads Fitness Gym  —  Elewure Junction, Alao Akala Expressway

From ₦30,000/month

Bollads has been around since 2018 and remains one of the better-known gyms in Ibadan. The main gym is upstairs, so it can get warm, while group workouts take place downstairs and help spread things out.

This gym’s social side also stood out to us. Bollads regularly hosts rave parties that often start at 9 PM, which says a lot about the community around the gym. It has a personality that goes beyond the workout floor.

5. Gym House  —  Road 1, General Gas Akobo

~₦20,000/month

Here’s the most affordable option on our list of best gyms in Ibadan, and Gym House offers good value for the price. It’s a neighbourhood gym, so don’t expect the size of iFitness or Oxygen.

Still, the community is active and welcoming, with members often praising the group activities and atmosphere. The equipment has also improved in recent years. If you want a cost-effective gym that still has a lively feel, Gym House is a solid choice.

6. Fly Fitness  —  Branches in Mokola and Akala

₦27,000/month

Fly Fitness has main branches in Ibadan, Mokola and Akala, plus a Warri branch. The standout feature is the cross-branch membership, which lets you use your Ibadan membership in Warri. That’s handy if you regularly move between the two cities.

The gyms are spacious, with enough room to train comfortably. You can also pause your membership for one to two weeks, which is a useful advantage that many Nigerian gyms don’t offer.

7. Elle & Elle  —  Opposite IDC Primary School, Akobo Road

~₦20,000 – ₦30,000/month

We recommend Elle & Elle as more of a group workout space than a traditional weights gym. It may not suit you if you prefer training alone with lots of machines. If you enjoy group workouts and a lively atmosphere, though, it’s worth a look.

The gym isn’t the largest, but it has enough space for its classes. The main downside is the 7 PM closing time, which may be too early if you usually train after work.

8. Precision Care Fitness  —  KM 4, Ife/Ibadan Express Way

₦25,000/month

The biggest draw for us is the space. Precision Care Fitness is a large gym with plenty of room for outdoor aerobics, HIIT, and circuit training. Finding it can be a bit of a hassle, though, as it doesn’t have a Google listing yet.

We’d recommend getting the exact address from their social media or a current member before heading over. They also host rave parties like Bollads, so we found there’s more to the gym than just working out.

9. Iron Crew Fitness  —  Gilgal Event Center, Bolatito Bus Stop.

₦25,000/month

Iron Crew’s green artificial grass flooring gives it a look we don’t see often in Ibadan. It uses wall fans instead of full AC, so expect things to get a little warm when the heat is up.

What really caught our attention, though, were the roadwalk cardio sessions. They give members a chance to take their workouts outside and train together. It’s a mid-sized setup, and we think the pricing is fair for what you get.

How Much Is a Gym Membership in Ibadan?

Gym membership in Ibadan is more affordable than in Lagos or Abuja, and we think that’s one of the reasons the city’s fitness scene has grown. Most gyms charge between ₦20,000 and ₦32,000 per month for standard access.

From our experience, the monthly fee isn’t the only thing to budget for. Many places charge a registration fee when you sign up. Some also have quarterly or annual plans that can save you money if you’re committed to training there. We also like the day-pass option available at a few gyms. It gives you a chance to try the place out before putting your money down.

Membership TypeMonthly Fee Range
Budget gyms₦20,000 – ₦25,000/month
Mid-range₦25,000 – ₦27,000/month
Upper mid-range₦25,000 – ₦30,000/month
Premium~₦32,000/month

How to Choose a Gym in Ibadan

Address: Location should be your first consideration. Ibadan traffic is no joke, and we’ve seen how quickly a 30-minute trip can turn into a reason to skip the gym. Pick somewhere close to your home or workplace rather than chasing the most impressive gym in town.

Then, think about how you actually like to train. We also recommend visiting before you pay. If there’s a day pass, use it. Otherwise, take a tour and check the AC, equipment, cleanliness, and staff. A gym can have excellent machines, but a difficult front desk can kill the experience.

Don’t get too caught up in the price either. The difference between ₦20,000 and ₦27,000 is ₦7,000. If paying a little more gets you a closer gym, better equipment, or a community you enjoy, we’d say it’s money well spent. At the end of the day, the best gym in Ibadan is the one you’ll keep going to.
